Calendula:

•is anti-inflammatory: packed full of linoleic acid and antioxidants to reduce redness, swelling and pain

•increases blood flow and oxygenation: promotes wound healing and aids in skin's hydration and firmness 

•is anti-microbial, anti-fungal and antiseptic: protects skin barrier from infection

These properties make this the perfect salve for the skin: acne, diaper rash, eczema, those stubborn dry patches, sore noses during cold season, or generally keeping the skin barrier strong.

Hemp oil makes an excellent carrier oil to enhance the benefits of calendula, bringing its own skin-healing powers to the table. 

Hemp oil:

•is an emollient, moisturizing and boosting skin's softness without clogging pores.

•contains healthy fatty acids and antioxidants which work to reduce and prevent signs of aging.

•is also thought to be anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial, adding to the potential this salve has to reduce acne, eczema, and other common skin conditions. 

•comedogenic rating close to zero, meaning it won't clog your pores

 Beeswax:

•is an occlusive with emollient properties, softening skin and helping your skin retain its hydration 

•contains antioxidants and vitamin A, preventing free radical damage and preserving skin's firmness

•comedogenic rating under 2, meaning its unlikely to clog pores
